A Saturday at the Outlets

Today was my first "real" Saturday at the outlets. It was pretty terrible. For most of the time, it was just my manager and I running around helping people. We got slammed for a good two hours, which I was shocked to see. I was yelled at (I think) for not speaking Spanish and three other ladies decided to tell me how to do my job when I was flustered behind the register. We didn't get out until about 10:00 because the store was such a mess at closing.

It's okay though. I just keep telling myself that this is only temporary and that I'll be going back to school in the spring semester and won't have to spend so many hours at the mall selling, giving way more time to being here studying.

The greatest part of today is the decision to get a kitten. Two friends, Kipyn and Allie have a cat that they needed to find a home for, because she cannot stay in their apartment because of a pet policy. They wanted to find a good home for her that wasn't the Humane Society. At first, I figured that since my parents are technically my landlords they wouldn't be down, but mom actually said yes. I'll get to go meet Marley tomorrow and hopefully take her home early in the week!

All in all, just an average day. The excitement is being taken out of things, but I think having a pet around will be good for me, if nothing else for extra TV watching company.

Thanks for reading.
