Ode to New Shampoo

Recently, my hair has been feeling icky. After getting it cut a few weeks ago and deciding to grow out my natural color, I've been more obsessed with it than usual. Last night, at work, a woman pulled me aside and told me I had a wonderful haircut and was lucky for it. This made me even more obsessed with it. While cleaning this morning, it felt more and more greasy until I couldn't stand it anymore.

So, when I went to buy more pads for my Swiffer Wet Jet I stopped at Rite Aid to look in the shampoo section. I've been using Garnier Fructis color shield shampoo and conditioner. I liked it for a while, but like all great shampoos build up happens. I haven't used Herbal Essences in a really long time, but thought the Drama Clean seemed like exactly what I needed...something to revive my greasy, icky, grown-out-faded-colored hair.

It worked.

The last time I used Herbal Essences shampoo I was ten, so, naturally, I didn't really get the YES! YES! YES! reference in their commercials. Oh, how I was tempted today! May hair smells really great, and so did my shower while the hot water was running. I feel much lighter and fluffier...and generally less inclined to complain about grease when I run my hands through my hair.

Sometimes, all you need to pick you up is a morning of cleaning and a great new shampoo experience. I got exactly what I needed.

Thanks for leaving.
