Drama Drops the Ball

Three days into it, and I dropped the NaBloPoMo ball because of a lot of friend-related drama at Tony's last night. That's a poor excuse for just about anything, but it's the only excuse I have.

The houses across the street from my are finished being built. Now they're just waiting for someone to pull the blue plastic from the windows and go through them with some touch up paint and extra nails for the carpet. Then, they'll be ready for a family, or a couple or a few random people living together. Once that waiting is over, the houses will have people to keep safe and take care of. They'll hear stories that "will never leave these walls" and absorb the same moments of life its people do. This is what I like about houses. They're the only real secret keepers, and then, really who knows what the walls could say "if these walls could talk."

I know I wouldn't want my walls gossiping to the wall down the street about some of what goes on or gets said in this house.

I went shopping with my mom today. It was a lot of fun, I got a few other new things for the house. We're waiting on hanging things until my dad comes up with her in October. He's better with a hammer, a ruler and a couple of nails.

Thanks for reading.
